So you've downloaded/received the VRMLmagic installer (VRMLmagicSetup), now lets get the application onto your system.
To get VRMLmagic running to its best capacity you'll need to take several steps, firstly you'll want to get the latest versions of the Webbrowsers and VRML plugins that are available (these are free and easily downloadable from the web) and secondly you'll install VRMLmagic itself.
VRML worlds (ie. the things you generate with VRMLmagic) work within webbrowser applications (such as Internet Explorer, Netscape etc), via a plugin application. Although the VRMLmagic application itself runs correctly without any plugins (you can interactively construct your world), if you do not have a VRML plugin installed then you will NOT be able to preview your worlds as they will appear on the web (ie. in the webbrowsers). In order for you to test your VRML worlds you need to have one of the VRML plugins installed. There are several VRMLplugins freely available (these are not Scintillating Graphics products and provide varying levels of functionality/reliability and system support), to get one running on your system try the following:
Step 1: Download one of the Plugins (see links below)
Get Parallel Graphics Cortona VRML Plugin
Get CosmoSoftwares Cosmo Player VRML Plugin
Step 2: Install Plugin (run the installer that you have downloaded and follow steps as outlined)
If you do not have a VRMLplugin installed, see above (we recommend doing that before installing VRMLmagic itself). Installation of the VRMLmagic application is very simple, all you need to do is run the VRMLmagicSetup application and it will bring up an installer that will guide you through the process.
Step 1: Run the Installer (double click VRMLmagicSetup.exe)
Step 2: Follow the on-screen steps to install the VRMLmagic application
VRMLmagic makes use of the Java Virtual Machine, as a result obtaining the latest version of Java may give you improved performance etc. It is not critical for you to have the latest version (or any version) of Java installed (both VRMLmagic and the worlds it creates do not require it) however seeing at it is freely available and the latest versions may give you improved performance we recommend updating to the latest version of Java as follows:

Step 2: Install it (run the Update/Install application you have downloaded)
Although it is not critical for you to have the latest version of your webbrowser installed (both VRMLmagic and the worlds it creates do not require you to update) it is always a good idea to download and install the latest versions. Again these are freely available and simply need to be downloaded and installed:
